You could try doing a search for cab files files that actually contain the windows operating system on your computer. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
No Sound, MMSystem or MCI Errors In Windows 95/98
I found this solution when searching for mmsyxtem error, try it and see if it helps. It might be that Winamp has an option to set the filetypes it’s associated with; otherwise do it from Explorer via shift-right-click, Open with I pulled the card from box and it’s an Ensoniq I don’t know if Media Control Devices as anything to do with this problem; I’m assuming.
You should be able to run diagnostics on your sound and video devices.
I would appreciate any and all help – please explain in REALLY simple language though as I have no idea how to do just about anything on this thing! Double-check to make sure that the multimedia icon is not there.
